About us

The goal of creation and functioning of a cluster is concentration of interconnected businesses within the boatbuilding industry with a clear aim of increasing the innovation within this industry branch, and developing companies, as well as the whole region. The strength of a cluster is the possibility of conducting operations that are too expensive or complex for single entities, since a business cluster may apply for financial supporting measures that are reserved only for cluster operations. As a concentration of businesses, cluster becomes a partner of other entities (such as: public administration, press, cooperating companies) on a level exceeding possibilities of each company separately.

Aims of the cluster:

• Product promotion on international markets (tests, fairs, permanent exhibitions, VIP events, and others)
• Development of a common strategy difficult to implement for individual companies.
• Forming of external (EU aids) and internal (target funds, loans and guaranties) financial support mechanisms
• Establishment of technological, scientific, consulting and project support mechanisms
• Personnel training necessary for functioning of the industry
• Cluster is a structure open to suggestions of all members

Participation in a cluster

Cluster can be joined by all companies interconnected with boatbuilding industry. Companies participating in the cluster must meet the criteria of cooperation and competition listed in the Cooperation Agreement. Cluster agrees not to create its own brand but the develop members’ trademarks on the basis of a common branding - the denomination of origin: "Polish Yacht Cluster ". The means of promotion and operation of the cluster allow peaceful incorporation into the company’s existing sales and service structure  and creation new networks. Products accepted for the common promotion must meet the conditions defined by "Polish Yacht Cluster" trademark.

Cooperation criteria

• Individual companies compete in local and international markets in compliance with fair competition rules
• Transfers of projects is done with respect to the principles of copyright laws
• Employee competition in the local labor market is not conducted to the detriment of the current employer but with the ability to provide professional development of the employee that is in particular employment offer from another company member of the cluster requires the approval of current employer.

Product Criteria

• The manufacturer is not obligated to offer all its products within the cluster
• The manufacturer is the owner of documentation and copyright of the product
• The manufacturer is in possession of all documents necessary for sales and use of product in different markets (in the case of temporary or conditional documents acceptance of the product will depend on terms and conditions listed in the document)
• There are no pending legal proceedings in regards to the intellectual property rights to the project or its elements (mold, halls, etc.)
• The manufacturer is not in ongoing bankruptcy and liquidation proceedings
• The level of failure does not deviate from the parameters adopted by the denomination of "Polish Yacht Cluster" – this will be systematically reviewed for all markets
• The offered quality of service and post-warranty service will meet given parameters - the product may be excluded from the promotion, where these parameters are not met.

• Promotion of products and services associated with the profile of entrepreneurial activity (tests, exhibitions, permanent exhibitions, VIP events, etc.)
• Scientific and technological support for enterprises / project development
• Development of financial support mechanisms for companies, including funds for:
  • Promotion
  • Production organization
  • Exhibitions materials/ exhibits
  • Education and human resources development
